About Me

Before joining Georgia Tech, I completed my undergraduate degree in Manufacturing Processes and Automation Engineering at the University of Delhi, India.

During my undergraduate, I’ve worked on a range of research problems: mechanical characterization of TPMS lattice structures, optimization of polymer additive manufacturing via statistical and machine learning techniques, and simulation-driven analysis of heat sinks and welded joints. These projects have helped me build a strong foundation in mechanics, experimental methods, numerical modelling and additive manufacturing — skills that I’m now expanding into newer domains.

For my Master’s thesis, I am designing and simulating a high-speed optical profilometer based on single-pixel imaging (SPIFI). The system employs spatial frequency-encoded structured illumination using a spinning diffraction grating and a 4f optical relay. I’m responsible for optical modeling in Zemax OpticStudio, beam propagation analysis, image reconstruction, and developing a theoretical framework for depth measurement. This project bridges my growing interest in wave-based imaging and optical design with my strong background in mechanics—particularly in how materials deform, respond, and are characterized. I’m especially drawn to problems that lie at the intersection of these fields, where optical systems can be used as tools for mechanical measurement and insight.

The website details my academic background, research experience, publications, and technical skills across optics, mechanics, and additive manufacturing.

Education

2024 - 2026 Expected

Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering - Georgia Tech

In my master's program, I am focusing on advanced topics in mechanics, wave theory in solids and optics. I am also engaged in Master's Thesis research problem delving in Fourier-domain image reconstruction for optical profilometry and defect detection.

2018 - 2022

Bachelor of Engineering in Manufacturing Processes and Automation Engineering - University of Delhi

My undergraduate studies provided a strong foundation in manufacturing engineering and automation. I pursued research problems focused on data-driven modeling, process optimization, and mechanical performance enhancement of additively and conventionally manufactured parts.
